Galaxy Z Fold 8’s display crease could be as invisible as OPPO’s

Galaxy Z Fold 8’s display crease could be as invisible as OPPO’s

Samsung Display accidentally revealed its crease-less foldable OLED panel at MWC earlier this year. It is expected to be used in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Now, a new rumor claims that Samsung's upcoming foldable phones will be as good as OPPO's in terms of crease control.

Reliable tipster Ice Universe has claimed that crease control on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series will be as impressive as that of the OPPO Find N6, which was launched a few months ago. OPPO made a big deal about how invisible the crease is on the Find N6's foldable screen when the device is unfolded, thanks to the company's high-resolution 3D printing process to fill out uneven gaps. Samsung's upcoming foldable phones could be equally impressive.

Both phones are expected to feature Samsung Display's crease-less OLED panel, although it remains unclear whether they will offer improvements in brightness. A recent report claimed that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series won't feature the Privacy Display technology that debuted with the Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to have a wider screen aspect ratio than all previous Galaxy Z Fold devices. It reportedly features just two rear cameras and could be powered by a 4,800mAh battery.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which is the spiritual successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, is expected to retain Samsung's traditional Galaxy Z Fold aspect ratio and feature a 5,000mAh battery.
